Into the Unknown

This blog is about putting your head above the parapet and even though you are scared just doing it.

Starting a new chapter in life can be daunting. It’s a path into the unknown. I guess I had an idea of what this new world would look like but the reality has become a little different. I think it’s all about expectations. I’m an eternal optimist even in my darker moments, when the storm clouds have descended there has always been that little flicker in the darkness.

From an early age I was encouraged to express myself. I realise now I was raised in an unconventional situation for the time. My mother had many mantras and her explaining it was easy to be a sheep and follow the herd is one which still echoes.

I have always written. I love words and I think part of my expression has found it’sway through words.

Finally, now I have the space and have been able to complete a book which I had been nurturing in my head for quite sometime.

Daisy, my heroine, is finding her voice and her place in the world. Like so many of us we wonder where that is.

Out of the Blue has been refined and edited and is now out in the big world hoping an agent will love the story of Daisy as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I’m a passionate gardener, walker, reader and my family are the most important people in my life.

Life often feels like a giant garden, we nurture those around us, we hesitate at which path we should take. Along the way we encounter weeds and maybe a few prickly plants. If we are lucky we meet some beautiful blooming and colourful flowers.

My world is all of the above and more. So I’m on another path now and excited to see where it goes. Just like my heroine Daisy we both on an unknown path.
